What is the minimum age and height requirement for a child’s bike?

What is the minimum age for a child to ride in a child seat or a trailer?

How to get to CYCLOFY by public transport or car?
CYCLOFY is located in Balaruc-le-Vieux, on the shores of the Thau Lagoon. To reach us by car, it takes about 10 minutes from the A9 motorway (exit Sète), with free parking nearby. The nearest train station is in Sète or Frontignan, roughly 15 minutes away by bus or taxi. For precise directions, feel free to ask us when making your reservation.

Can I recharge the battery during my long-term rental?
CYCLOFY provides the charger with any rental of several days. A full charge takes approximately 4 to 6 hours on a standard outlet. You can recharge the battery at home, in your accommodation, or during a lunch break, as needed.
What assistance modes are available?
CYCLOFY offers three levels of assistance on its electric bikes (E-bikes): Eco for maximum range, Sport for dynamic acceleration, and Boost for enhanced assistance suited to steep gradients. The mode can be changed directly from the handlebars while riding for a smooth and intuitive experience.
Do I need a license or training to ride an EAB?
CYCLOFY informs you that no license or training is required to rent an EAB from us in Balaruc-le-Vieux. Our electric-assist bikes, limited to 25 km/h, are classified as regular bicycles under current regulations. When you collect the bike, we explain the assistance modes and how to use the console. A test ride on-site is offered for beginners.

CYCLOFY has a clear cancellation policy for its bike rentals in Balaruc-le-Vieux.
Cancellation is free of charge up to 48 hours before the rental start time. Between 48 and 24 hours before, 50% of the amount is retained. Less than 24 hours before or in case of no-show without notice, the full amount remains due.

Is a deposit required?

CYCLOFY specifies the payment terms based on the rental duration. For short-term rentals, full payment is due when the bike is picked up. For long-term rentals or group bookings, a 30 % deposit is required at the time of booking, with the remaining balance paid on-site.

Is wearing a helmet mandatory?
CYCLOFY reminds you that wearing a helmet is mandatory for children under 12 years old, whether they are riding or passengers, as per the French Highway Code.
For adults, it remains strongly recommended. CYCLOFY provides a helmet free of charge with every rental in Balaruc-le-Vieux, by the Thau Lagoon.
What should I do in case of theft?
CYCLOFY advises you to always secure your bike with the provided lock, attached to a solid point. In case of theft, report it immediately to CYCLOFY and file a police report at the Balaruc-le-Vieux police station or gendarmerie within 24 hours. Then send us the receipt of the police report. Without this document, the deposit will be withheld up to the value of the rented bike.
What should I do in case of a breakdown or a flat tire?

CYCLOFY reminds you that your safety comes first. In case of a fall or injury, call 15 (SAMU) or 112 immediately in case of a life-threatening emergency. Then notify CYCLOFY by phone: the team will come to collect your bike and assist you if needed, both in Balaruc-le-Vieux and around the Thau Lagoon.
